1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They serve a range of functions: some are essential for a website to function (like maintaining a logged-in session), some improve the experience (like remembering your preferences), and some are used for advertising, tracking, and analytics purposes.

Cookies can be:

• First-party cookies: set by the website you are visiting. Only that website can read them.
• Third-party cookies: set by a domain other than the one you are visiting, typically for cross-site tracking, advertising, or embedded content.

• Persistent cookies: remain on your device until they expire or you delete them.

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) in the UK, websites must obtain your consent before setting non-essential cookies. Under UK GDPR, cookies that can identify you (directly or indirectly) constitute personal data and are subject to data protection law.

2. How This Site Uses Cookies

crumbless.agency does not set any of the following types of cookies:

• No tracking cookies: we do not set cookies for behavioural tracking, cross-site tracking, retargeting, or advertising purposes.
• No analytics cookies: unlike most websites that use Google Analytics (which sets multiple cookies per visitor), our analytics is provided by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which operates without any cookies at all. It uses a privacy-first model that measures aggregate page views and performance metrics without placing anything on your device.
• No third-party cookies: we do not embed any third-party content that would set cookies on your device. No social media embeds, no external tracking pixels, no advertising networks, no retargeting scripts.
• No session cookies: our book-a-call form is a static HTML form. It does not use sessions, authentication tokens, CSRF tokens, or any mechanism that would require a cookie.
• No preference cookies: we have no cookie preference panel (there are no cookies to configure) and no user-configurable settings that require persistence.

3. The Services We Use

The following third-party services are part of our website infrastructure. We have assessed each for cookie and privacy impact:

3.1 Cloudflare Pages

Our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process technical network data (IP addresses, user agent strings) at the edge for security and performance purposes (DDoS protection, caching, TLS termination). This processing is necessary for the functioning of the internet infrastructure and does not involve setting cookies on your device. Cloudflare’s privacy policy is available at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

3.2 Cloudflare Web Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate website usage (page views, referrers, countries, Core Web Vitals). Cloudflare Web Analytics does not:

• Set any cookies on your device.
• Track you across different websites.
• Create user profiles or behavioural fingerprints.
• Collect personal data (no IP addresses are stored; no unique identifiers are assigned).
• Use any data for advertising, retargeting, or data brokering.

It measures what it can see from the HTTP request itself — the same information every web server receives when it delivers a page. Cloudflare’s description of the product is at cloudflare.com/web-analytics.

Because Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies and does not collect personal data, it does not require consent under PECR or UK GDPR. This makes it one of very few analytics solutions that can operate lawfully without a cookie consent banner.

3.3 Google Fonts

We load fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Google Fonts serves font files as static assets and has stated that it does not use cookies for font delivery. The Google Fonts FAQ is available at developers.google.com/fonts/faq.

3.4 cdnjs (three.js)

We load the three.js JavaScript library from cdnjs (cdnjs.cloudflare.com), a CDN operated by Cloudflare. This is a static JavaScript file served as a public-good CDN asset. No cookies are set by this request.

3.5 Book-a-Call Form

Our book-a-call form is a standard HTML form with no client-side tracking or analytics attached. When you submit the form, the data you provide (name, work email, brand URL, and what you want to fix) is sent to our server for processing. No cookies are set by the form, and no third-party form provider is involved in the submission path.

4. Legal Analysis: Why No Consent Banner

Under UK PECR (Regulation 6), consent is required for storing information, or gaining access to information stored, in a user’s terminal equipment — unless the storage or access is strictly necessary for the provision of an information society service requested by the user.

Since crumbless.agency does not store or access any information on your device:

• No cookies are set (neither first-party nor third-party).
• No local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, or any other browser storage mechanism is used.
• No device fingerprinting, canvas fingerprinting, or any other tracking technique is employed.

There is no storage or access to information on your terminal equipment. Therefore, PECR Regulation 6 is not engaged and no consent is required.

Under UK GDPR, personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not collect personal data, and we make no attempt to identify individuals from analytics data. Therefore, UK GDPR consent requirements for personal data processing in the analytics context are also not engaged.

5. Your Browser Controls

While this site does not use cookies, you may wish to control cookies across all websites you visit. All modern browsers provide controls to:

• Block all cookies.
• Block third-party cookies only.
• Delete cookies when you close the browser.
• View and delete existing cookies.
• Set per-site cookie exceptions.

These controls are typically found in your browser’s Settings or Preferences under “Privacy” or “Security.” Blocking cookies will not affect your ability to use crumbless.agency, as no part of the site relies on cookies to function.

6. Future Changes

If we ever introduce any service that requires cookies (for example, a client portal, authenticated dashboard, or embedded booking widget), we will:

• Update this policy to clearly identify the new cookies, their purpose, duration, and whether they are first-party or third-party.
• Provide a consent mechanism before any non-essential cookies are set.
• Allow you to change your preferences at any time.

Our commitment is that this site will remain as cookie-free as possible, and where cookies become necessary, we will be transparent about their use and provide genuine choice.
